This is a lovely spot right in the middle of a nearby town. They have captured the small river running through, and put gardens and seating where you can sit in relative peace and quiet and just chill out..
You just wouldn't believe that the bus station is up and behind the wall on the right, whilst the main road and shopping street is up and behind on the wall on the left. You will often see shop workers having their lunch breaks here by the river, whilst many old age pensions sit and talk the world away in the gardens. I don't think they would manage the steps down to the riverside, I struggled a bit.
Once a year a charity duck race is held here with hundreds of plastic yellow numbered ducks tipped into the river in the distance and the winner is the first duck to reach the little bridge I'm stood on. Quackers I know but it's for charity.
Thank you all for getting my Tit's on the PP page, they must have been very popular. If you hadn't seen it you will be confused. Again today's picture is better with the dark surround.
A great use of the natural advantages of our towns. A river running through is a wonderful place to rest & contemplate. A very good use of a small area.
