I needed some fresh air and although it was quite a dull day I drove out to high ground to find a new geocache on the edge of a wood. I'm so glad I live in the Stroud Valleys with views like this everywhere.
Just below the woods on the other side of the valley, and right in the centre of the picture is where I live. It's a small village with country walks everywhere, what more could you want in retirement. Unfortunately you then realise, as you get older. that you become limited to where and how far you can go.
I have now started telling my youngest Son where I've parked the car and where I'm going by texting him in his office. I then text him again when I get back to my car just in case I have an accident. They can't stop me getting out in this beautiful countryside.
Beautiful view!!! I think texting before and after excursions is very sensible. I get my 18 year old do the same with me. She's a new driver and I like to keep tabs on her.
