Goldfinch in for Lunch by ladymagpie

Goldfinch in for Lunch

I've completely refreshed my bird feeders ready for the Summer months and the goldfinches have already arrived for lunch.

Last season I only saw sparrows, goldfinches and those flipping starlings and pigeons. Mr. and Mrs Blackbird have eaten as well as a coal tit testing the delights. I think I've got the food about right.

Not bad for an old Magpie. Oh and I've had my cataract operation last Wednesday, all going OK.
Interesting colouration

No gold finches here unfortunately, they only came one year & never returned! Your table is looking very bird tempting!

Lovely capture. Those look like shelled sunflower seeds. They don't have to work to eat.
