I was down in the nearby park just looking at any wildlife, when I noticed this strange looking seagull doing a dance across the park. Unfortunately I couldn't hear any music but I did put my own words to it.
You put your one foot in
You put your one foot out
You put your other foot in
And you shake it all about
You do the hokey pokey
And you turn yourself around
That's what it's all about
Oh, hokey, hokey pokey
Oh, hokey, hokey pokey
Oh, hokey, hokey pokey
That's what it's all about
The strange thing was he did keep turning around and the words came into my head. Talking of heads, have you ever seen a black headed gull with half the black missing, it looked very strange.
So I'm going to call it "Halfer the Black Headed Dancing Gull", and I must go back down and see if it's still there. All its mates were giving it a wide berth for some reason, perhaps they can't dance, or the were embarrassed.
There is a fellow in my neighborhood that does this…to his own music (no headphones or earbuds), just content to dance along. I wonder if this is his bird?
