I was sat on my usual perch on the patio, by my back door, when I looked up to see these storm clouds rolling in. The garden needed a good soaking as I can't remember when we last had a rain storm.
There were a few more minutes as I watched the clouds and tried to work out which way these clouds were moving, will it go by or are we in for the storm. My neighbour had a line full of washing, and being a very nice person I tapped on her window and rang her door bell.
As she appeared at her door, I pointed out the clouds drawing in, suggesting she brings her washing in. I moved back indoors due to the pending weather and noticed it took some time for my neighbours washing to disappear, there was a lot.
About 3/4 of an hour later I looked up from my PC to see sunshine bursting into my lounge. Strange I thought, at least I wouldn't need to water the plants this evening.
How wrong I was, not a drop of rain had fallen and those black clouds were now on the other side of the village. My good deed for the day was not needed and my neighbour’s washing would have still been drying in the sunshine. I took my “Good Girl” sticker off my chest and filed it away for another day.
Ha ha well you tried! That often happens & the pesky clouds go away! We had some rain in the night but not enough to make the slightest but if difference to the soil.
🤭🤭🤭 You were like that young man who heartily helped the old lady cross the street. Only to find out she did not wish to cross it.
But I would say it is the thought that counts, isn't it?
I love some good storm clouds, but am always disappointed when no rain actually falls...you know if you hadn't warned her, the sky would have dropped buckets!!! Faving this for your good deed
