Now I'm not suggesting that by being a Trolley Dolly that I'm a female flight attendant, much that it would have been fun when I was younger. If I tried that today it would have to be the biggest transport plane you can find, with very wide aisles.
When I have my weekly supermarket delivery, I usually bring in a very heavy metal patio table for the delivery drivers to put down the containers for me to empty onto my kitchen units. It really was getting to heavy for me and only just squeezed through the door. I was also concerned that with winter, it would be to wet to bring in.
I suddenly remember a trolley that had been in my garage since my Mother past away 15 years ago. I found it in the pill of rubbish, and set about removing all the dust and cobwebs. The important thing is, this is not just a trolley.
My parents were in sheltered accommodation in their later years, and there wasn't room for a table. They purchased this trolley you see in the left picture, but when you pull the button it starts to transform, see middle picture, and hey presto you have a two seated table. So space saving.
I can now store it in my lounge and as it's on wheels, move it to the kitchen area on delivery days. Of course I can use it as my table, rather than the past 30 years resting a lap tray on the arm of the settee.
Now can I have a go at being a Trolley Dolly with a good trip to my favourite destination which has been the far West of Canada.
Heheee... a very fine piece of furniture, and obviously very useful. Would you have thought that it will be useful after 15 years of keeping?
You know what they say about stuff: if you haven't used it for a year, you may as well discard it. Now-now...
Your problem is solved Heather but two other advantages that you have a table & you are sitting on the same seats as you dad & mum….win win all round! It looks a natty piece of kit!
