Not far from my home is a wonderful view point overlooking the River Severn and south towards Wales. It's a very popular spot for walkers and others taking their dogs for a walk whilst enjoying the views.
The edge of the hill suddenly drops off very steeply and it's a good it has a fence to stop you falling over the edge. The other major problem is that if the wind is blowing up from the southwest, it's very difficult to keep to your feet.
This is where the lone tree comes in, as I have taken many pictures from here. I have had to get to this tree, stand with my body wedge in the V groove and wrap my arms around the branches holding onto my camera. At least it's blowing me back towards the car park rather than making me take off like a jumbo jet at Heathrow Airport.
