This is Nether Lypiatt Manor, a place of ghostly stories and also a place with royal owners. Around 1983 I moved into a flat in a very large house nearby to this manor, living with a nice family. One Sunday morning I was driving in a lane heading near the manor when I pulled over for a pair of horses, the riders stopped and said good morning and thanked me, it was only Prince and Princess Michael of Kent who lived at the manor then. There was a land rover following closely with 2 security guards inside.
This manor was built in 1698 by Judge Cox, who was a notorious known as The Hanging Judge. Unfortunately his son was found hanging in his bedroom, and that is where the first ghost has been seen.
The judge's blacksmith was due to be hung for a crime, but he offered him a chance to be pardoned. If he made the perfect front gate he would let the blacksmith go. On the day the judge inspected the gate, (the one in the capture) he said he could see a fault, though nobody else found anything wrong, the blacksmith was therefore hung.
Later when the judge went to see his favourite horse, it was found dead in the stable. Around January every year, a ghostly figure of the blacksmith on that horse has been seen riding through the closed gates and into the grounds.
I had a gate and fencing made for my bungalow, I made sure I praised the company for their brilliant work; I didn't want any ghostly figures outside.
Keep smiling and it's worth enlarging the capture.
