Walking out from our rather expensive hotel just off the Boulevard Saint-Germain in the swanky 7th arrondissement (think Mayfair, but with classier inhabitants), we were somewhat surprised to find the HQ of the French Socialist Party. Mrs.L (for that is she) inhabits the opposite end of the political spectrum and clearly was not amused.
