Was wondering what to take a picture of today, but the problem was solved when Husband walked in the door with some flowers.
I cropped this and increased the contrast. Hopefully the partially cropped petal on the left does not bother everyone as much as it bothers me. But I had to crop it like this. Seriously I had no choice but to crop, or else there was some weird stuff happening in the top left corner.
Hope you all have a wonderful week!
* I'm pretty sure I was subconsciously influenced by Simon's (@spthorne) yellow flower today, but hopefully he won't be angry that I borrowed the idea. He doesn't seem like an angry kind of guy, so I think it will be okay with him.
@sabresun lol okay, Matt that just made me actually lol for a very long time. but really in all seriousness, it was indoor fireworks in the top corner. so, for sure had to be cropped out.
@scooter lol thanks for the flower compliment :) as for the fireworks, I don't want to show off by being the one and only 365-er with a picture of exploding fireworks in my home, so I'd better not lol
You may think this a little strange, but when I was a kid, you actually could buy indoor fireworks. It was a kit with touch papers and small fuses that burnt around in patterns or made coloured smoke burn from cone shaped fireworks. I doubt they'd sell them these days.
@sabresun what???!!! really???! and all this time i thought you made it up. Well now I really do want some, but I think you might be right that they probably are no longer sold. too bad, lol
Ah, okay. I thought indoor fireworks sounded a bit....unsafe. So you cropped out something more exciting from this photo. Like something related to what I KNOW was in your box photo. ;)
@laurentye You'll never guess what? I just did a search and you can still buy them. They were pretty safe though, they sounded more dangerous than they actually were, yet still fun. Here's a link to check them out http://www.fireworksarcade.co.uk/indoor-fireworks.html
haha Matt @sabresun that is so funny I went to the link and watched the video and somehow it triggered some suppressed memory because I DO have a sort of recollection about the one that left a growing snake-like ash trail. I don't think i ever had any though, maybe saw it on tv or a friend may of had them. But now that you got my hopes up I want ones that really explode with lots of colour. hmmm
haha, yah, i can pretty much gaurantee you that @spthorne WILL NOT be angry with you, as he does not seem like the type at all! i love this soft looking yellow and how nice of your husband to bring you flowers home !! what a good man :D
Beautiful flower Lauren! As for the posts....now u need to take an indoor fireworks pic. I did use numbered birthday sparklers indoors before. Must use a little caution. Haha!
haha you "borrowed" my idea :-) well "I'm honoured Lauren" :-) Nice shot BTW the DOF is good as some of the petals are out of focus which & looks good. The cropped petal I did ot notice until I read the comment, however I would suggest that you get some slate to get the "total spthorne effect" lol :D
