Unaware by laurentye

Unaware

My theme for today was "candid" and so I carried my camera with me while my husband and I went on a coffee date (I had hot chocolate!). The coffee shop was packed and so I felt a little strange with my camera but didn't let that stop me from taking some shots.

This man was completely unaware of me taking his picture. I liked the way he looked so relaxed and content despite the busy, loud atmosphere.

I had originally thought I'd try and get a Remembrance Day "candid" picture but didn't make it to the ceremony as I was short on time. I did observe a moment of silence out of respect for the day, but I feel bad that I did it wrong... I was silent for one minute at 11:11am, but later found out it is usually two minutes of silence at 11:00am. I suppose it's the thought that counts...
Nice Candid! Looks very much like a spy/undercover shot!

Yes, great POV! I really need to get some street or sneaky shots into my project. I don't even have one. And speaking of warm drinks, I see Second Cup has come out with their holiday drink menu. Will be trying my first of the season tomorrow while hubby and I go house hunting. :)

Great candid - B&W works well. At least you stopped and remembered - that's the important thing.

You can t do it wrong. You stopped to reflect, thats what counts.
As for the photo - I think this is super. I love how the light picks out the edges of his profile.

as usual lauren great shot great story & 1.8. However I think you are a great spy as the guy is having a secret mtg with the girl to pass on secret information & you have it on film (so to speak) to pass on to the relevant Canadian security authorities :) Do it now save a worldwide catastrophy.....................
