I fell in love with this little guy in an antique store in Salem, Mass, while we were on our anniversary trip. My husband didn't want to buy him because he was afraid I would put him in our house somewhere, and for some reason this creeped him out. I may still go back for him because I can't stop thinking about him.
This is just sort of guy I would love in our garden! He's not creepy just a bit sad looking. I reckon he's like Yoda and may give you good advice. (Like buy me!!!!)
Oh wow! I love him! You should call that shop and get them to hold it for you! He looks old and wise to me, not very creepy. But then I like "creepy" so I'm probably not a good judge. :-)
omg i totally love this too. clarissa @fariemoon needs to see that..I hope that is her tag...anyhow...what a great shot and thanks for all your wonderful comments it was great to wake up to them xoxoxoxo
If you can't get him out of your mind, you have to go back and get him! I was in Boothbay Harbor a few years ago and say a bracelet I loved. I decided not to get it and so regret it. I have never been able to find another that comes close to that one.
I love him too! Can he go in the garden? Anyway, I'm petty sure he's meant to protect you from evil spirits, so how can he not be a good addition to the household. Do it! do it! do it!! :))
I'm vulnerable for these mementoes too , and have been known on more than one occasion to double back and seize the moment again with a purchase to relieve the haunting memory of maybe I shoulda..........
Well, I think he looks very contemplative, that's the feeling I get! He looks like he's really into his toes....
Really neat gargoyle, I would be wanting to buy him as well. Sooooo, when he comes to live with you--take a photo of where you put him, lol
That guy is really pretty cool looking. I think he would fit into almost any decor, and I think you would grow quite fond of him, and perhaps your Husband will learn t love him too.
He's cute and scary at the same time. If your husband is dead set against you buying it, then I think you should print and frame this photo and hang in your living room! :-)
@clarissajohal I guessed that Victor came from Victor Hugo, my writer friend, and I was actually considering Hugo for my new addition because I kind of fell in love with gargoyles after seeing your photos of Victor.
