I went to a literary high tea at the Wequasett Inn in Chatham this afternoon with my aunt (@sabanford) and my cousin (@christiehicks) to see three of my favorite authors speak. We got dressed up, and even wore fancy hats, but my best photo was of the food...of course. So much for taking a few hours off, but at least this particular food photo is not a work photo and those blueberry topped lemon tartlets were as yummy as they were pretty. Funny how sometimes we just gravitate towards our comfort zone with the photos...
omg - these look divine! your dof on this is perfect, it only makes the sweets look like go on forever - or is that only my head???!!! sounds like a fun time!
@5unflow3r The authors were Heidi Jon Schmidt, Anne LeClaire and Lisa Genova. I have read every book these three women have written, and I also happen to know that they are all really special women as well as talented writers.
Yummy!! I love high tea....it's so civilized and fun. I always want to admire the beautiful little mini sandwiches, scones and pastries for awhile before daintily picking them up to eat. I love that you got dressed up and wore fancy hats! :)
