Most days when my son gets home from school and again after dinner, he picks up his guitar and plays for a while. I took this the other night and then took a bunch more shots tonight and this was still my favorite.
@melissapike I thought of you when I took this, Melissa. Not only because you are a musician, but because you challenged me to get out of my comfort zone. So this was a study in low light with the 50 mm, and I discovered I really like to photograph hands.
@robinwarner He's still pretty sick and I've decided he shouldn't go on his ski trip tomorrow. He didn't even argue (not that he ever does), but still.
@lauriehiggins Awww, I'm glad to see I could help inspire you to discover something new! Good for you for giving it a go, and congrats on a job well done!
How cool to be able to listen to that! I really like this photo too, perfect lighting and composition. Every day when my girls come home from school, I listen to them go cuckoo in the other room while doing their homework, lol. I guess 6 hours of being quiet and good takes it's toll...
i like the pov you used for this! i think it's kind of hard to take a photo of someone playing.........well, I had trouble anyway:)
my husband plays his guitar almost every evening. his way to relax.
wait. what? a boy that doesn't argue????? dang. please send him out here as soon as he's feeling better. What a great pov on this shot, Laurie. I really had to study it to get the perspective. How is he doing?
I love the light in this shot!
