This is for the Album Cover Challenge started by Paula Wallis (@pwallis) in the themes and competitions on the discussion page. I got Moscow Radio for my band name and "Perpetual Neglect" for my album title. That suggested an urban gritty style that those who know me will understand is so not in my normal range. I didn't even know where to go for photos.
So my son Tommy offered to take me to this abandoned warehouse off the bike trail where teenagers hang out. We jumped the fence and then spent about an hour walking around this giant warehouse that is covered with graffiti. It reminded me of visiting an art museum in a weird way. Tommy used Photoshop to add the band name and album title to the photo and made it look like part of the graffiti.
Before our adventure this afternoon, we went to the doctor to discuss all the test results. The only thing that turned up was anemia, so we are very relieved. Thank you for all your good wishes and prayers.
woah - how fun is that that you set out on this adventure out of your comfort zone! This turned out way cool - I especially love the hot spot in the doorway and the guy (your son?) standing there.
amazing shot..amazing day...amazing news....oh i am so happy for you...and so proud of you too. your work is stunning. thanks for being such a great friend
yay for anemia! wonderful shot to go with your great news! I was holding good thoughts all along and felt it was all going to be okay. I'm so relieved for all of you.
what a great shot - fabulous for the album cover theme - sad I haven't had time this week to sort one out...next time! Love the grafitti here and the figure in the dorrway makes it! Glad to hear your son is OK
I see that you're stepping outside you comfort zone, too! Love this shot - so much color and great for an album cover. Glad to hear the great news from the doctor!
First, I love the story. What a special moment to share with your son. Breaking the law and creating a cool album cover together. I love. Second, I feel like an idiot. What is going on with whom in the health department? Was it something I missed when I was in FL? Glad the diagnosis is something easily remedied. Update me! Please!
Tommy is awesome! I had to enlarge it to see all the details, but didn't recognize him without your comments. Who jumps fences in today's world? You rock- both of you.
Oh, good news! Yes, anemia can make your heart flutter--easy enough to correct. I love the way this turned out--perfect lighting and composition. It looks very professional!
This is awesome! How great that your son was a part of it as well. Very different from most of your other photos ... just proves how talented you are! So glad to hear your son's good news. :-)
Cool how the band name and song were photoshopped in to just "Fit" in. Good job on the album cover. I should try one of these, even though I am sure it is too late for whatever contest or challenge it was. I am always a day late and a photo short. LOL
Really cool shot! I love the lighting and colors! I love that you were jumping the fence with your son. So fantastic. :) So glad to hear good news for your son!
