I decided to play a little with processing simply because I've never really done it before. It was kind of fun, but I'm much more of a natural girl, so I'm still a bit on the fence.
This blue lace hydrangea was a wedding gift from our former neighbors across the street. When we bought our house 20 years ago, my husband admired Ed Blake's blue lace hydrangeas. We got married six months later and he bought us one as a gift. Ed and his wife Elva moved away to an assisted living closer to their sons a few years ago. I heard he died a few months ago, but this plant will always remind of his kindness.
I now what you mean about processing, Laurie. I'm like you - I prefer the more natural look, but this one is very subtle and pretty! It reminds me of a Japanese painting. I can see why this hydrangea means so much to you!
It is so pretty! Editing is fun! I usually just keep going and it leads me down different paths...like exploring a new place. Sweet, sweet story of the hydrangea and its giver!
