It was so ridiculously cold today that I almost didn't go out for a photo. But then I couldn't resist and visited two different beaches. Brrr! As I was backing out of the parking lot of the second beach, I saw this beauty in my rear view mirror, so I quickly changed lenses and chased her. My hands were shaking so hard from the cold that I'm amazed I got a passable shot. But I'm so glad I braved the cold. Foxes are very camera shy, so this is only my second one in two years and the other one was much futher away.
Its gorgeous, I think it's good you got your photo even in the snow! It really contrasts the colors. I have a pair that live behind my house, they had kits last spring :)
@aspada The lens says "Canon Zoom Lens EF 75-300mm 1:4 - 5.6." Hope that answers your question. Obviously, I'm not very good at the technical stuff yet. That's one of my year three goals - to actually learn how to use my camera.
What a beautiful shot! I have a fox in my 365 project as well but the picture is blurry. They are all around my neighborhood. I get concerned about pets being out at night..
That is a perfect shot! I photographed foxes at the beach here last summer! Before then, I never knew they liked beaches! I am glad you braved the cold! It was worth it! =)
Magnificent! FAVE! Hey I was going to ask if you would be available to go to a BW winter shoot on Saturday with the Plymouth Camera Club (sometimes other clubs invite our club to events), but it is going to be too cold I think. Pity. :-(
Great shot, I have a couple of foxes that live at the end of my garden but have only managed a phone shot so far. Congrats on this wonderfully clear shot.
@russianblue The first time I saw a fox, I stopped my car in the middle of the road and grabbed my camera from the passenger seat. Unfortunately, I forgot to put my Jeep in park and had to jump back in before it rolled away. Those fox photos were too blurry to post.
@5unflow3r It was terribly cold today, but let me know the next time an opportunity like this comes up. Me thinks we are overdue for a meetup, my friend!
@stepheesue Honestly, I was so blown away. But the thing that struck me the most is that I never would have even seen this sight or taken this photo if I hadn't rejoined 365. I would have been sitting at home, all warm and cozy, instead of freezing my fingers off and chasing a fox. Just capturing this reaffirmed my resolve.
