This photo is doing double duty. I needed a photo of a chicken to go along with my recipe column in the newspaper this week so I ran down to the coop and caught my favorite chicken laying an egg. It was another busy work day, so I decided this was pretty representative of my day. Plus I love the egg peeking out from under her.
@espyetta We have seven chickens, MaryBeth, ranging in age from 5 years old to not quite a year. They are pets with benefits. This time of year, they are laying like crazy. I currently have close to five dozen eggs in my fridge, so my recipe this week was designed to use up eggs!
