St John's Anglican Church by leggzy

St John's Anglican Church

I found this place by accident today. I had been looking at the region on google maps & accidentally clicked on the name of the town this old church is in, and it brought up all the information, including photos, of which this old church grabbed my attention....so I just had to go there! It is yet another old church that is no longer in use & all the windows were boarded up, unfortunately. Still a lovely find. TFL
Love the contrast between łhe roof and the bricks, fantastic rustic look.

You are very creative & adventurous! Another old cemetery as well. So much untold history. Did you take the photo through the car window as I see a reflection?

Lovely looking building. I love old churches and can't help but wonder what this would be like if you could get inside. Nice capture.

What a lovely find. Such a shame it's all locked up and abandoned. The stories it could tell.

Fascinating, the stone work is beautiful and interesting to see the corrugated iron roof. How old is this church and where can it be found ?

@365projectorgjenfurj Thank you Jen - no not taken from the car - this was the best POV to include the entrance of the church, which was shot directly into the sun, so there's a bit of lens flare happening :)

@paul10 Thank you....oh how I'd love to be able to get inside! or even be able to have a peek through a window, but they were all boarded up, unfortunately.

@daisyditch Thank you :) I think my POV is making it look smaller than it actually was. I did take another couple of shots from the other end (but they don't show off the beautiful entrance), and they show it's size a lot better.

@hermann Thank you Sally. It is the same place as the photo I just posted for today of the abandoned railway station. You can see the name there clearly ;)
