Artillery ammunition

Coloured artillery shells that were on display at the Passchendaele Musuem. I'm not sure that these are their original colours, but I think they have been coloured for the display, which I thought was quite effective :)

I initially thought coloured pencils, but then realised they were the casings. A stark reminder. I would imagine the colours would be true to form.
