I spotted this old truck while on the way to meet up with some family members for lunch today, so wanted to make sure I stopped on the way back to get a shot. I love old stuff like this! It's wheels are a bit wonky looking and is perfectly rusted up :) It was just parked there in the middle of nowhere, on a section of an old road, that once upon a time was the main highway. Maybe someone has plans for it....
I love old forgotten (maybe) vehicles too. This is great. Plenty of rust and tired paintwork - the perfect subject 😉 I wonder what it's story is and who abandoned it there though. I'm imagining the settings for the beginnings of a horror story. In fact Stephen King wrote a sorry about an abandoned vehicle. Was good too 😉
@cottiac yes it was really just there like that. ...it's a section of road that is only used for the farms/properties along there & there was a gate/entrance just to the left out of shot, but I could not see a farm house or anything, butI guess it could have been over the other side of the hill. I assume it belongs to someone that lives close by
@paul10 thank you. That sounds like a good book 😉 hearing you on auto correct. ...I sometimes have the same problem & have to really be on the ball & keep check on what words my tablet has actually put 😞
I would be climbing all over this, taking close up sections to use as textures. What a find ... I like the way the colours on the rusty old vehicle harmonise with the soft tones of nature.
@cottiac@paul10@onewing@pusspup@bob65 thank you all for your comments.....a bit of an update - hubby has seen people at the truck at various times during the week, and he thinks it's been put there as it is for sale ☺
@alfsson to some it would be. Trying to remember where I used the word smick? I may have spelled it wrong, should be schmick....which is as aussie slang word for smart or stylish
