Knitted Poppies

For a project that I'm currently involved in. In short, the Australia War Memorial is planning to plant 62,000 knitted & crochet poppies around the grounds of the memorial for remembrance day 2018, which will mark 100 years since the end of WW1....and each poppy will represent those Australian's that didn't return :(

Plenty of time to get some poppies made - they are accepting poppies up until July 2018. All help would be greatly appreciated :)

What a great project - did you knit these? The last three years have been huge reminders of the first world war and so very poignant. Sadly I cannot knit - have tried on three occasions!
