I love this little camera, but sadly it has been playing up, on & off, for a while now...but it has now given up the ghost & is kaput 😭
I dont know what Im going to do without it as I used to take it pretty much everywhere I went. I do have a bigger DSLR, but it's not so convenient to take everywhere you go.
I need to buy another little camera ....and am open for suggestions & recommendations, if you have the time...... pretty please 🙏
So sad. I look forward to the response as I am also looking for a smaller camera. Why don’t you ask on the general discussion forum to open the question up to a wider audience!
My little Lumix is my favourite camera, and has a load of dust spots on the sensor and needs to be considered for replacement so I really feel your pain and will follow the advice you get with great interest.
I still have a Lumix Fz47 that I bought years ago and it still works perfectly. It is a bridge camera and mostly used by Max, my grandson, when we go out for walks during his school holidays.
I have a little Lumix TZ80 that I keep in my handbag and I am very pleased with it. Not sure if there is a later version as I have had that particular camera for a few years. I think there is a TZ90 but not sure if that is a follow on from the 80.
If you particularly like the Lumix maybe just put Panasonic Lumix point and shoot into Google and see what comes up with the latest Lumix cameras.
@onewing I upgraded from the TZ40 to the TZ90 which takes great, photos. My only complaint is that it’s bigger than the previous models so doesn’t fit in most pockets
So sorry for your loss! My wee camera is a Canon G7X. It's great for taking hill walking or somewhere I don't want to cart the big guns! A lovely photo to remember your Lumix by!
Always sad to loose a faithful camera. My Lumix FZ72 bridge camera has recently been giving me problems, and the cost of repair was way too high, so I replaced it with the Lumix FZ82. Even though the controls are very simular, there are still some features that I have struggled with. I hope you find a suitable replacement.
@sangwann@onewing@pusspup@fishers@ankers70 thank you all for your suggestions/recommendations. I will check out the cameras mentioned & do a bit of research & hopefully something will pop out for me.
Ohhh- that's too bad. I love my little Olympus point and shoot. Olympus Tough TG-6 (I've had it for a few years now so the number is probably higher now.) It's very versatile and has a great macro setting.
