I have lived in this little avenue since 1982, at three different addresses...don't laugh. We moved into No 7 in February 1982. In July 1987, along with my parents and my younger brother we moved into The Red House at No 17, Big old house, Seven bedrooms massive garden. By 2004 the house had outgrown us, boys married and left home, brother did the same, my Dad died, and it was too much house for three people. My Mum went to live with my sister and David and I built a house on the land where our old double garage used to stand. The build began in September 2004 and we moved into Blackbirds at No 17A in March 2005. So there it is, 30 years in one street!
@busylady It seemed like a good idea at the time! When we moved into The Red House it was a no brainer, the boys were at the wonderful primary school about three minutes walk away. When we built Blackbirds it was a way of getting exactly the house we wanted without having to buy land but it was very stressful, I'm not sure I'd do it again :)
