After seeing posts and articles recently on frozen bubbles I knew this morning would probably be perfect. Guess that's why I woke up at 3:30 and couldn't get back to sleep but no light at that time in the morning. Got to love a DVR in the bedroom. Well it's not easy blowing bubbles in subzero temps,by myself and taking the pictures but this is what I got. Stay warm my East Coast Friends.....
This is so cool (pun intended). You're right, now is the perfect time to do it. Brrrrr! I've wanted to try this but I don't think I am going to get out of my warm, cozy bed to do so.
@chlyo72 you should bite the bullet and try... it didn't seem like -2 with the photo adrenaline coarsing through your veins...lol the bubble stuff would freeze and you'd have to come in and let it thaw out before trying again...
@shawnasays my first try to. I made more bubbles and if the temp holds I'll try again in the morning. I checked two stores this afternoon and apparently bubbles is not a winter item. lol
@summerfield Oh we can't have you sick... please feel better soon. I saw pictures in the newspaper of Niagara Falls frozen over (USA side). Looked pretty cool... well more than cool ICE COLD !!!
@lesip - this would have been the best to have taken a pic. but i'm pretty sure i'd be missing digits or limbs if i was taking pics. i mean last december was really cold so i can imagine what it was like last week. my joints are creaking just thinking about it!
Wow, what amazing photos, Leslie. You are so creative and pulled this off so well. Saw you mentioned about Niagara Falls. So amazing to see that on the news. Also have someone I follow on here that took photos of a river on the East Coast frozen in time, with wave looking ice, not flat. Such crazy weather for so many. How did you capture the one in the top left corner? FAV
