Have been planning on going since the date was announced . Woke up to fog and rain but still headed out the door at 7ish. I think the weather did keep the crowds down so I made it in three times with only about a ten minute wait each time. They only let so many go in for 5 minutes than they have you leave and let the next group in. They are prepared for long long lines and I'm sure it may take hours the see him soon. He sleeps 20 hours a day and I wasn't lucky enough to be inside when he was awake but did see him on the panda-cam wake as I was heading back around to see him again. Last trip in he had returned to his den and was only visible through the panda-cam so if you go be prepared that he will probably be asleep and you may not even be able to see him. I'm glad I went and I will go back. I love taking pictures at the zoo.
Tian Tian the proud Papa is on the left ( he probably doesn't even know he's a dad).
Mei Xiang aka Mommy is top right
Bao Boa the sleeping baby is bottom right.
Love your collage and each photo. You got so lucky to be able to get these. So nicely done, Leslie. How I would love to go to the SF Zoo as there is so much to see and photograph. FAV
