My best friend challenged me to do the ALS ice bucket challenge on Facebook. With todays social networks this idea has exploded. I choose not to pour ice water over my head but to highlight the main intent of the challenge a donation to help find a cure for this awful disease. It's not our first donation to this disease. My son requested everyone to make a donation to ALS instead of a wedding gift when they were married. He met a 30 year old filmmaker when he lived in New York City that had just been diagnosed with the disease.
well done, leslie. i don't think i'd pour iced water on me but i've seen two very nice videos on this ice bucket challenge here on 365, and what i am going to do is keep tab of at least minimum five videos and pics i like and will put aside ten dollars for each, the total of which i will donate to our local als organization.
@summerfield thanks for donating ... The young man my son knows has spent the last 14 years documenting his life with the illness. The film should be released sometime this year. He is very near the end of this disease.
