One of my favorite holiday shots that Michael Elliott posted two years ago were these balls. When I got the chance to visit NYC that christmas he told me where to find them. This was my third year to visit NYC when the holiday decorations were up and I tried to capture a different POV. Here's his wonderful shot. http://365project.org/michaelelliott/more-365/2013-12-20
I leave for San Francisco tomorrow for a month. Going to be spending time with the grandogs while my son and daughter in law travel to Australia and New Zealand. My carry on suitcase is filled with camera equipment and will hold my laptop. Who needs clothes!! lol
Omg this is fantastic. This was an instant fav! At first I thought it had rained then I saw Mighael photograph. Love your point of view! Will be looking forward to what you find to photograph in San Fran.
I love this shot, Leslie. The reflections you captured are amazing. Have a great time in SF. My husband is off starting Christmas Day for almost 2 weeks. We plan to take a day trip to SF one of the days he is off. Would love to meet you if there is time and works out for both of us.I just bought a new camera too. A Sony a6000 with an extra lens on Saturday, so learning slowly how to use it. The Panasonic was a bust so selling that on ebay. One of the ladies on 365 bought the same camera, well ordered it on Saturday and she is leaving behind her Panasonic as well. We both had bridge cameras and now will both have DSLR's. FAV for this awesome photo.
This says Christmas in a BIG way! I really like how you included the lighted trees in the background — their reflection on the water adds a perfect touch. Fav!
@lesip Safe travels and you have my contact info. I hope we can make it happen. I have an appt here in town on Dec 30 but that is the only day there is something I need to do.
have a great time in SF, I'm sure it's warm enough there you can just wear some camera straps!
