The LookOut

We enjoyed the food so much last Saturday at the Ferry building farmers market that we returned again today for lunch. This is the view deck above the ferry terminal that we found last week. It was a great place to sit and enjoy our lunch away from the crowds.

I left the house with my wide angle lens on the camera (on purpose) and was surprised and happy when this seagull let me get within inches of him taking my time to compose the shot without ending up with an empty rail.

He's quite a beautiful seagull and very different to the ones here. I love the shot, it's almost like a forced perspective and the gull looks huge.
