May has been surprisingly un-foggy. Today changed that and so glad that I made sure my daughter left the island yesterday when she has a flight back to Canada from Glasgow tomorrow. The Glasgow flight today was one of the cancellations. When I first came to Shetland and all through the 80's and 90's May was always a foggy month but since then the climate seems to have changed and the fog tends to be coming later in the year more June and July. We don't however seem to get the five days of continuous fog that I can remember.
