Nearly There

The NorthLink ferry Hrossey arriving in Lerwick this afternoon after a bit of an epic near 48 trip. She left Lerwick on Monday at 5.30 pm heading for Kirkwall and on to Aberdeen. On approach to Aberdeen there was a problem with one of its propellers which meant it needed a Pilot to take her into port. Pilot couldn't get on board due to the high seas so it was decided to have her head for Scrabster which took another 12 hours so she arrived there at 8pm on Tuesday. Repairs were carried out and she left Scrabster for Lerwick at 8am this morning. Pity the passengers who were hoping to get off yesterday morning at 7.30 only to end up in Scrabster with a 5 hour drive to Aberdeen.
Sounds like an awful trip, but the photo is lovely.

Your shipping around your islands is fascinating

I hope the ferry had enough food to keep people happy.
