Murder at Sumburgh

I was watching a group of cormorants at the bottom of the cliffs at Sumburgh when a Bonxie (Great Skua) landed beside the group and dragged one off into the sea. It then drowned the poor bird while others in the group tried in vain to see if they could help. All pretty gruesome and over very quickly only about 2 minutes between this shot and the extra.
Oh dear. "Nature is red in tooth and claw" indeed.

Oh dear indeed! A bonxie, I haven't heard that word in a while!
