Guillemots by lifeat60degrees

Guillemots

More and more Guillemots returning to the stacks around Sumburgh Head on a more regular basis. I thought I'd see them on the west stack today but it was bare and these are on the small east stack which was getting the blast of what wind there was. There are one or two Bridled showing a white line behind the eye.

Very nice shot, and I like the diagonal.
In the Faroes I was once served guillemot for dinner. Not bad actually!

Amazing capture. These are the birds that leap from incredible heights into treacherous rocky seas when they're still fledglings?

@cocokinetic yes I’ve seen that a few times. Strange to witness.
