Hoswick Burn by lifeat60degrees

Hoswick Burn

A wild night and wet and windy morning with heavy showers in the blustery wind. Gusts were hitting 60mph plus most of the night. Hoswick Burn quite full at the moment. the ground is saturated so any rainfall just runs off the hills. Managed to time this afternoon's walk in such a way that any rain was at my back. Not usually successful with that plan. Sunrise now just before 9am so the winter is moving on.

A beautiful scene. There is so much to look at, I don’t know where to start! I love the way you captured the flowing water, the light, the trees, the stone embankment, the green-blue big house, the shed-like building with the 3 tufts of wild grass growing next to it - it’s an almost otherworldly vista. Magnificent.
