This pony is no mug. Shelter from the wind in this corner and the sun just about to rise high enough above the hill to bathe her in warm sunshine.

Why is she there alone?
English is not my language; what is "mug" ?
I have owned a Shetland mare and bred a stud stallion, that's why I am asking.

@octogenarian there are usually two. I think the other is down the hill off to the right. In this context "mug" would be a fool. In other words this pony is not foolish
