Areca Plant

The other day I posted a photo of the Areca nut. This photo shows the Areca plant itself. These are palm-like plants similar in looks to a coconut but with a smaller trunk.

Whatever the namethey give it, I consider these as palm trees and we have palm trees identical to, well or almost - to these. I have never heard of this Areca tree or nut - maybe my ignorance. Beautiful colourful shot - the red flowers look delightful.

I think that the building in my photo of yesterday is a tool shed. Building in stone is cheaper to building in wood in my country.

Thanks for your comments. I also consider these palm trees. The red flower in the background are bougainvilleas.
