Not sure how to fix that, they are too overexposed, I think, but if you have Photoshop, you could try to use the Burn-tool to make the eyes darker, or try and play with Shadows and highlights :-)
@niara - they look overexposed. I'm no expert, but I'd use maybe a quick mask (hot key Q) and paint over it in black (using the brush tool). Then after you are done, go into the layers pallet and click adjustment layer (looks like a b&w cookie). You could try using either the curves (as @andifree said) or exposure. If neither of those work, I would maybe try the saturation adjustment layer. You might be able to adjust the colors to something you find acceptable. I hope this helps.
