Budding Photographer

My daughter Katy is taking a film photography class in school. This is her first experience with using a camera in manual mode. She’s using a 35mm I bought for this class on Ebay. Her assignment was to take multiple pictures of an egg on a white background using lighting from different angles. The school has a darkroom so she’ll get to develop her own pictures this week. I wish I could take the class with her!

(I should note that she came in and saw my picture for the day and said it would look better in black and white because of the high contrast. That’s what Ansel Adams would have done. So I did, and she was right.)

Great photo. I think sometimes setting up a photo is as much fun as seeing the result.
