American Independance Day Breakfast at Bracken Ridge Loins Club
Today Bernie & I were invited to a breakfast at our friends place to celebrate American Independance Day (a day early).
We had to dress in the red, white & blue.
Top line:-Kevin with a Davey Crockett hat, Lesley & I in our Statue of Liberty Hats & colours. Lesley dressed as the Statue Lady (she ran a competition on past American Presidents).
LHS Bernie & Kevin, pancakes & hot breakfast.
The ladies from the Lion's Club all conributed to the breakfast.
The men did the necessary BBQ cooking.
The menu:- Bacon, eggs, boston beans, pancakes, maple syrup, quiche, muffins, assorted juices, coffee, tea & much more.
We had a wonderful morning eating & talking.
We arrived home at 4.30pm - after a lovely day spent with new acquaintances - nice :)
Just thought to share :)
What a wonderful collage...love seeing patriotic themes everywhere this weekend...well, in the US, that is. Lois, I also want to say a big thank you for your thoughtful comments about my dad's passing. If not for the support of my friends and family, this would be even more difficult that it is. I so appreciate that you took time to leave me a note. Thank you bunches!
We went to a Canada Day party on Saturday. (July 1 is Canada Day) The food was amazing there too and the house was fully decked out in red and white. It was fun to celebrate with the Canadians.
Such a patriotic collage how kind of you to acknowledge the U.S. holiday. This "typical" American breakfast helps to explain why the United States currently has a 30% obesity rate!
