Last night we attended Gabe's partner, Kat's 39th Birthday party at their place.
The theme was Mexican.
Almost everyone came in costume.
We met old and new friends of both Gabe & Kat.
Bernie, Lynda & I were excited to meet several of their friends of 20 years & school days. Isn't it wonderful that your kids have these friendships that have stood the test of time.
I stood sat back for a while & just observed everyone talking. The animation of their faces was wonderful as each was listening to the other. They were all catching up.
What I loved about last night was that the children were invited - 10 of them. They all had a ball! :)
Top row, Gabe, 'Little Red Coffee Machine Coffee" machine, (which ran flat out), Kat cutting her chocolate, gluten free cake, Gabe & Darren playing jazz under their new name, "Gypsy Wagon".
LHS - Gabe & his Mexican "wench", Lynda & Riley, Kat's Mum, Kat's best friend, who arrived as a surprise.
Main shot - Gabe& Kat & their wonderful mexican food.
They had been cooking up a storm the night before.
Geez it was a good night - cold, but good.
Just thought I would share with you all :)
We all had a great time... however, I was asked if I was really from the country... a real country girl.... but I'm not. And guy who asked seemed disappointed.
Didn't dance on the sombraro though - forgot :)
