My friend from high school who we spent the weekend with http://365project.org/loey5150/365/2011-09-18 invited me to join her MAH JONG Group.
I used to play years ago & was thrilled to have the chance to play again.
I'm bit rusty, but getting the hang of it.
About 12 ladies play every Tuesday from 10am to 2.30pm - a decent span of time - the old eyes get a bit tired as we play a fast game.
They now have books on the different hands you can play - I find this very helpful.
Do any of you play ?
I remember my mother playing, so I'm familiar with the tiles, but I've never played. I'm not very good at anything requiring numbers, but I like word games...where does that fall in the spectrum? Anything like Dominos?
@sarasdadandmom - most games are founded on cards & the counting of numbers in your hand. With Mah Jong you play with tiles with numbers on them - once you learn it's quite easy. If you can play cards, you can play this. :)
