We have always had these plants in our garden.
However this year, due to the excessive rainfall, they are growing many new leaves & we have about a dozen or more fruit that are not far from picking.
They are delicious when ripe. The skin falls off in little bits as it ripens.
The only problem is watching the passers by, so they do not take the fruit :D
Centre shot is a close up of the skin.

I remember when I was living at Auchenflower - years ago - on Eagle Terrace (with a guy who shall remain unnamed for a very good reason), we lived next door to a house which has a huge collection of these plants. And so, when the time came to these fruits being ripe, and I spotted a few hanging over the fence, I just went over and pulled some off. Well, I was the only one eating them in the house; as he was convinced they were poisonous. Bwhahahahaaa! All the more for me! :D
