Award for 25 Years of Service

Last Wednesday I was invited to my local Member of Parliaments office, Barbara Stone, to receive an award for my 25 years service to the community as a Justice of the Peace (Qualified).
I was appointed in 1976, so it is quite a few years longer than the certificate says.
Bernie, Iain (my brother) & myself were treated to a delicious morning tea & discussed issues in our local area.
It was very enjoyable.
JP's as we are called, are called upon to witness legal documents by signature & certify copies of original documents without charge.
I could write a book of my experiences over the past 36 years.
All I need to do is find a place to hang my Award.
Nice to be appreciated :D
Well done! What a lovely way to thank you for your services and contribution.

Congratulations. You look lovely. Here in the U.S. they are called notary publics or notaries for short.
