My husband laughs about all the clicking that goes on when I'm on a trip with him. I take photos through the front windshield like crazy. Since we are traveling at a minimum speed of 70 mph, I dub those photos my "70 mph photographs". The prettiest wildflowers last week were the yellow ones, I did not get close enough to identify them but they blanketed the roadside at every turn. Spring is in full force in Texas, the live oaks and Mesquite trees were so beautifully clothed in their finest greens!
I went through lots of Colorado doing the same thing - when he'd drive a little slower I'd stand up through the sun roof and shoot - do wonder what approaching drivers were thinking!! This does have a watercolor appeal to it.
@cindymc@lynnz@littleconnie@milaniet thank you for your comments. It's so nice to know I have kindred spirits who take photos while the car is moving! @milaniet I never thought about the sun roof! I'll have to give that a try!
I see that much that I'm thinking has already been said! I, too, like the soft, watercolor sensibility of the image, and, absolutely, as I'm always in the passenger seat, I'm taking photos all along the way! Out here, on our 2 hr-drive up the coast, 3/4 of the ride is of traffic, traffic and more traffic which forever will leave me speechless! When we exit the LA Basin, THEN the hills of wildflowers come into view! I find the camera keeps me from worrying about all the traffic!
@Weezilou@gigiflower@snowy@farmreporter@taffy Thanks so much, ladies! Visiting the hill country in the spring is a good thing. By the middle of June the summer heat will have turned
everything brown except the trees.
May well try this technique - possibly when I'm a passenger though 😜
Congrats on making PP with it - well done!
