A Crepe Myrtle bloom wreath

We have Crepe Myrtle trees in our back yard. Two of them are close to the pool and when their blooms fall into the water, the motion of the water swirls them into a circle.
How pretty & the pool makes for a great background!

I have never heard of a crepe myrtle befire, is it a tree, flower or shrub? Pretty colours!
