Quite a few years ago my sister and her husband gave bottles of wine at Christmas time. The bank they used for their business had repossessed a winery in Lubbock and the bank asked their business customers to help out by buying the wine. It was a standing family joke because the wine was terrible. Ultimately the regulators told the bank they had to get rid of the winery! Two years ago they gave us this wind chime made from one of the bottles of their wine, the best use of all for the wine, smile!
Oh, that story is just great. When the bank regulators tell you to get rid of the wine, you know that there is just no value in it! ;) What a fun commemorative piece.
I would love to have a wine bottle wind chime! This wine bottle wind chime goes with your wine bottle tree that you put behind your pool's waterfall. I remember you posted a picture of that tree. Great POV for this fun shot and a very cute story! :-)
Thank you so much for your fun comments. That winery has had 3 owners since the bank finally sold it. Even though Lubbock has the perfect weather and soil to grow grapes, Caprock has struggled through the years to make good wine.
@gaylewood There is a craft show in Boerne every month and my sister found the glass artist there to make the wine bottle chimes. Thank you for commenting and thank you for the fav!!
