A big discussion recently with friends about “silver”, “gray”, “white” and “platinum blonde” hair color. Everyone insists my hair is silver, actually it could be white. I guess it isn’t gray anymore. My hairdresser (who took this photo when she cut my hair last week) says my hair is silver, I guess if anyone would know, she would. Also, is the word grey or gray? 😊
GREY if you are in England. GRAY if you are in America. I have struggled with this myself however only the spelling, not the hair color. If mine were as beautiful as yours I would call it whatever anyone said it was! Beautiful photo of you
@grammyn thank you Katy! Glad to understand the grey gray. 😊 I actually asked my hairdresser to take the photo for me because my sister is up in arms over the “bald spot” on the back of her head. I wanted to show her that my hair is thinning too but I can kind of hide it by fluffing the hair around my “spot” ha!
Your hair coloring is so awfully pretty and do like your style - we're not so different - mine's just a little shorter. That's a neat picture using the mirror. I was lucky that my hair pretty well skipped the grey and went directly to the white.
@grammyn is correct with her explanation of grey & gray. If a popular book of recent years is to be believed, apparently there are 50 shades of grey! Whatever the description of your hair colour & they are all similar really, it’s very pretty. Your hairdresser did a lovely job!
Grey in the UK. Mine is a very similar colour to yours I think Lou Ann & I never know what to call mine either. I would think silver, I asked Harry & he said white! So glad I stopped colouring mine years ago, when I look back now it’s looks far better my natural colour….it suits my skin tone better. Your hair is lovely, trendy cut too! Btw mine is thinner too so I have to fluff it up too & wash it regularly to keep it from lying flat!
Lovely pose. Both grey and gray are acceptable spellings although, like others have noted, gray is more common in the USA while grey is more common in the UK.
