This tree is on the Grapevine Lake dam road, it has been featured in my project before. It survived the 7 year drought that ended a few years ago; it survived the week long deep freeze last spring; it gets no water or care whatsoever from the City of Grapevine. The grass mowing crews pull the dead limbs that have fallen away every two or three years. It just keeps living. When we drove over the dam today I was struck at how frail it looks in the wintertime, but it comes back every spring. I really admire this tree, I wish I was half as strong as it is.
