I really like this image Larry - I remember listening to Buddy Holly singing this 58 years ago. I thought though that the songwriters were Felice and Boudleaux Bryant?

The version I know best is by Neil Young, from the 1983 "Everybody's Rocking" album. The credits on the album say James Moore / Jerry West... (James Moore = Slim Harpo). But that's all I really know, and record labels are far from infallable.
