Nifty Fifty - SOOC #6401

For Richard Sayer's (@vignouse ) challenge:
http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/31977/nf-sooc-september-2018

With my kit lens set to ~35mm to get to 50mm equivalent. and Straight from camera. (actually 51mm per file info).

Lighting was quite flat, as you can tell. This is taken from the old Chain Of Rocks Bridge, which is now a walking / bicycling "trail" This bridge once carried Rt. 66 across the Mississippi River. The structure houses an intake for the water treatment plant. You can see the St. Louis skyline in the distance.

I see the “flat-ness”. But, it does look so real.

nice shot of the muddy Mississippi! (no offense, it's just an expression I've always heard)

I think I really prefer this version. I like the soft colors, especially on black.

@louannwarren @lynnz @henrir Thanks all!

*lynn - no offense at muddy Mississippi. There's an old John Hartford song that says "its too thick to navigate, and its too thin to plow"....

Henri: There is a subtlety to this version that is growing on me. Especially on black! But I was thinking B&W when I pressed the shutter, and my brain kind of locked in on that.
